1. If in any mine or part thereof, it appears to the Regional Inspector that the provisions of regulations 105, 106, 111, 112 and 115 or of any order issued under any of these regulations have not been complied with, he may give notice in writing to the owner, agent or manager requiring him to take such protective measures, within such time, as he may specify in the notice.
2. In case of non-compliance with the requirements of the notice issued under sub-regulation (1), the Regional Inspector may, by an order in writing, prohibit the extraction of coal in the part or parts of the mine in which protective measures are required to be taken, until the requirements specified in the notice are complied with.
