Methanometer ek handheld portable apparatus ( upkaran) hai , jo on the spot garam gas ki jaanch kar sakta hai.

Bhumigat khano (u/g) me prayog karne ke liye DGMS ne ek ameriki company MSA ka D-6 or D-6D anumodit kia hai.

Yah methanometer

1.      Wheatstone bridge, or

2.      Gas diffusion

Ke siddhaant par kaam karta hai.

 

Gas diffusion ke siddhaant par hawaa yantra

Ke andar pravesh karti hai

Or

Whatstone bridge ke siddhaant dwara garam gas ke % (pratisat) matra ki jaanch hoti hai.

 

Construction

Methanometer ke upari bhaag me ek hawwa ghusne wala hole rahta hai jismE ek khulne wali dust cap lagi rahti hai.

Yantra ke andar wheat stone bridge kaa circuit hota hai

Yantra ke left side me ek methanometer check batan hota hai or right side ME voltage check batan hota hai

Iss yantra ka bajan battery sahit 470gm kaa hota hai

Isme nickel-cadmium(ni-cd) ki rechargable batterie rahti hai, jisse complete charge karne me 14 ghante ka samay lagtaa hai.

Sabse pahle voltage check button se battery kaa voltage check kar lete hai

Agar voltage 2.2 volt se kam hai to jaanch nhi karenge

Or agar voltage 2.2 volt to 2.8 volt ke bich hai toh aage ki prakriyaaa karenge  

Jaha jaanch karni hai wha iss yantra ko lekar iske uppari bhhaag me diya gaya dust cap ko khol dete hai

Jisse hawa diffusion se yantra me pravesh karti hai

Uske baad methane check button ko 10 se 20 second  tak dabaakar  rakhte hai

Or phir gas kaa presentage note kar lete hai

Agamyaa jagaho jaise roof cavities , ucchi chhal per gas jaaanch karne ke liye telescope prob ka use karte hai

Telescope prob ko yantra me lagane ke liye yantra me diya gaya dust cap ko hatakar, nut dwara telescope probe ko yantra me fit karte hai

Phir jaanch wali jagaho me, prob me laga aspirator valve (rabar VALVE)  ko 2-3 baar dabayenge, tab phir methane check button ko 10-20 sec ke liye dabba ke rakhenge or kaanta sthir hone per reading le lenge.

Ans. 10 sec se kam samay me wheatstone bridge me diya gaya resistance thik se garam nhi hoga jisse jaanch me galti ho sakti hai


 
Q.  methanometer check button ko 20 sec se kam dabakar jaanchh kyu nhi karte hai?
Ans. 20 sec se adhik dabakar rakhne se bina wajah battery discharge ho jayegi


 
Q. if methanometer is not working properly in underground mines, then will you open its battery to check the fault?

Wheatstone bridge


 

Wheatstone bridge ek electric circuit hota hai

Jisme 4 resstance parallelly connected rahte hai

Current supply karne ke liye isko ek battery se joda jata hai, iss circuit ke bich me ek galvanometer bhi hota .

Isme cicuit ke do adjacent resistance ka ratio usKe agle do adjacent resistance ke ratio ke barabar hota hai

Maan lete hai chaar resistance P,Q,R,S serially ek dusre se connected hai to

P/S=Q/R

Jab voltage drop samaan rahta hai  toh galvanometer se koi bhi current flow nhi hota or wah zero deflection dikhataaa hai , ye balanced  condition kahlata hai

Jab voltage drop samaan nhi rahta tab galvanometer me current bahati hai or galvanometer deflection show karta hai, iss condition ko unbalanced condition kahte hai

Same cheej methanometer ke andar bhi hoti hai

Methanometer ke andar ek tarah ke chaar platinum-iradium ke filament wheatstone bridge circuit ki tarah lage rahte hai, iss circuit ke bich me ek miliameter bhi laga hota hai

Do filament ek cylinder aakaar ke chamber me hermatically sealed yaani packed rahte hai, jisme sudh hawa (pure air) hoti hai.

Iss chamber ko pure air chamber kahte hai

Hermatically sealed hone se khaan ki hawa inn filament se hokar nhi guzar sakti

Baki ke do filament dusre chamber me rahte hai jha per khaan ki hawa test karne per bhar jatti hai, iss chamber ko sample air chamber kahte hai

Toh jab methanometer me hum methanometer check button ko dabaa ke rakhte hai toh battery se current iss circuit me jatti hai, and because of heating effect of current (vidhut ke usmiya pravab ke kaaran) , filament garam ho jaata hai

Agar khaan ke hawa me gaRam gas mojood hai toh unke swabhab ke anusaar garam vastu ke sampark me aane se wah jal uthti hai, jab wah sample air chamber me do filament se hokar gujarti hai

Jisse inn filament kaa resistance badh jata hai

Kyunki tempreture is directly proportion to the resistance

Jisse ye circuit unbalanced ho jati hai or miliameter se current flow hona suru ho jata hai or yeh deflection show karke dekhata hai

Jitna jyada methane hota hai utna adhik ye kaanta ghumta hai.

iss prakaar hmm methane ke percentae ka hmm pata laga lete hai.
